Elizabeth Pearl (Betty) Young, 86, Beloit died Monday July 21, 2014 at Hilltop Lodge Nursing Home. She was born October 2, 1927 in North Platte, NE to Clarence and Bernice Young. She graduated High School in 1945, and then taught school one year at Beardsley, KS. She then moved back to Beloit and worked at Beloit Gazette and ABD Printers for many years.

Elizabeth is survived by her sister, Helen (Eugene) VanAmburg of Lindsborg, KS; nieces Karen Heller of Wichita, KS; Carol (Allon) Sommers of Manhattan, KS; Cindy Abbot of Orange, CA and many more nieces and nephews. Elizabeth is preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation 1-6 p.m. Wednesday July 23 at Harrison Funeral Home, Beloit. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday July 24 at Harrison Funeral home with interment to follow at Danbury Marion Cemetery, Danbury NE. Memorials may be made to Solomon Valley Hospice or Post Rock Humane Society.
