Margaret Levenia Pierce, Beloit

 

Margaret Levenia Pierce, the daughter of Guy and Hilda (Briney) Pierce, was born March 11, 1919 in Beloit, Kansas.  Her childhood years were spent on a small farm located South of Beloit, where she received her education at a country school.  She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary and enjoyed helping others.   

 

Margaret was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Beloit. She worked for many years cleaning houses and ironing.  She enjoyed raising flowers, gardening and playing bingo with her friends.  She often helped out with the bingo for the residents at Hilltop and was always smiling and happy to see everyone.

 

Margaret passed away at Hilltop in Beloit, Kansas on Sunday, February 1st, 2015, at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Lola (Max) Noah and Irene (Harold) Davis, one brother Carl (Anna Mae) Pierce and niece Linda (Davis) Abad.  Left to cherish her memory are her nieces and nephews Sharon (Cliff) Kelly of Murfreesboro, TN, Kathy (Rick) Brown of Topeka, KS, Steve (Linda) Davis of Newton, KS, John (Jeannie) Noah of Terril, IA and Carly Jo Pierce of Albany, OR; and several great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Visitation will be Wednesday February 4 from 2-6pm with family present from 4-6pm. at Schoen Funeral Home, Beloit. Funeral services will be held at Schoen Funeral Home on Thursday February 5 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery Beloit Ks.  Memorials may be given to Solomon Valley Hospice, and Beloit United Methodist Church.
